I arrived to the allotment with no plans and no intention of planning anything. Sunday is always the day when allotment stores are usually open. Not a wide range other than the basics of compost, manure, seed labels and growing trays. And when the stores are open it usually means that sites are busy with plot holders chatting.
I met up with a viewer of my youtube channel who recognised his allotment in my previous video. He’s just across the road from my plot so we spent some time chatting. After that I went to visit a friend who I already knew had a plot on his site and has been here for well over 50 years, I think. He gave me a handful of Runner Beans and showed me his pumpkin; extremely large already for this time of year so I can see us all helping to get it up to his car when the time comes in October.

Sunday are all about being social for me, introducing myself and have personal tours around plot to gleam information about what is good, and bad, to grow on this site. I didn’t even get as far as my allotment which is towards to top of the site.
A grand day.
